Please join me and my colleague Stephanie Harding for our third annual fall celebration
This retreat will be held at the fabulous Stony Point Retreat Center, where we will enjoy exclusive residence of the Gilmore Sloane House, a 150-year-old Victorian mansion with period furnishings. All the rooms have ensuite baths & accommodate 2 people. Meals are included, prepared with locally-sourced ingredients when possible, and delicious – with meat & vegetarian choices at every meal.
Each day will include two asana practices in our serene yoga space: One to prepare our bodies for walking in the beautiful fall colors, and another to help restore, refresh, and prepare for a serene sleep at day’s end. We’ll also practice breath work (pranayama), guided meditation & relaxation techniques. Practitioners of every level are welcome. We are both very experienced at adapting every practice to suit each student’s individual ability & needs.
Walking in the area is glorious. We’ll explore scenic trails with views of the Hudson River & the Palisades. There will also be walks on the retreat center grounds, which include a Japanese garden, gentle woodland paths, a farm, & a labyrinth.
And of course there will be plenty of free time for needlework in the solarium, curling up with a book in one of the parlors, and exploring the area on your own.
